Slade have been manufacturing quality cabinets for the trade industry for 40 years.

Before 1985, Barrie Greenslade, Slade’s founder and Managing Director, was primarily focused on fitting kitchens in Somerset. During this time, a number of clients recognised his exceptional ability to not only install high-quality kitchens but also offer the flexible bespoke service that has become a hallmark of Slade. This realisation prompted him to seize an opportunity that transformed Slade into something truly unique. Along with Alison, Barrie’s wife, Slade has been dedicated to manufacturing kitchens tailored to the specific needs of our clients, ensuring that each project reflects their unique business, vision and requirements.

In 2021, Barrie and Alison’s daughter, Elizabeth, and her husband, Kyle, joined the team, marking a significant milestone as the company expanded its offerings in bedrooms, bathrooms, and Slade’s bespoke kitchen range. With a dedicated team, Slade remains a small family-operated business that supplies over forty independent businesses, catering to their own specifications across the South West and beyond.

Our approach includes a knowledgeable Account Manager who is committed not only to processing your orders efficiently but also accurately. This dedication translates seamlessly to our Factory Manager, who brings the experience and flexibility that our bespoke service requires.

Our unique factory model allows us to operate as a made-to-order manufacturer, distinguishing us from many other carcass manufacturers. Each order is crafted to meet your specific requirements, which is a key reason customers have remained loyal to us since our inception over 40 years ago.

Cutting edge technology and regularly maintained machinery results in accurate and square cabinetry.

As our Managing Director Barrie knows from over forty years of fitting kitchens, there is nothing worse than out of square cabinets or inaccurate drillings. Therefore, at Slade, we invest heavily every year on new machinery. With that in mind, we have partnered with BIESSE for over twenty years in delivering some of the most accurate machines on the market. All our machinery is serviced by BIESSE every six months to ensure tolerances as small as 0.1mm are met. This means our machines can manufacture to the highest standards our customers have come to expect.
